Building Out

When my husband and I bought a new home in Mclean VA we knew that we would have to build out and add a home addition. Our home itself isn’t that large but our land is big enough for northern Virginia. I found someone who could help us complete some home additions in Mclean VA. After sitting down and consulting with our contracting team about the plan for the house, we were able to see everything come together really quickly! Seeing our home addition come together was such a great feeling!  The beautiful addition helped us decide that we were ready to pursue our dreams of owning a commercial property, so after we were finished renovating our home we decided to start new construction mechanical repairs in Lansing MI. We knew when we picked this company they were able to interpret all of the ideas that we had in our heads and made them come to life.

Black Mold

When I put in a bid on a new home, I knew I needed to search for someone to perform a routine home inspection in Fremont NE . Let me tell you, I was lucky I did. When they walked through the house, not only did they find termite damage, they found black mold! I knew that hiring a home inspector to check out the house before closing on a deal was the right thing to do. If I hadn’t, I might have gotten really sick living in that house and not knowing why. I am so thankful that I read an article explaining the benefits of having a home inspection before purchasing a home!

Quick and Efficient

We had recently purchased a home that we thought we could re-paint within a week of purchase. My husband and I had tried to paint our home but realized that while he is 6 ft tall, I am 5’2’’ and there is no way that we can both reach the same parts of the house. We called in reinforcements for exterior house painting in Woodbridge VA. With the help of our painters, we were able to finish this project in a week!

Dream Home... No Fence

Out here in Brea, California, sometimes buying a new home with everything built into it that you want can be extremely difficult. We have 2 toddlers that just love to run around so finding a home with a fence was one of our main priorities. Unfortunately, our dream home didn’t come with our dream fence. Instead of just moving on to our second choice, we decided to buy our dream home and put whatever work into it we needed in order to make it safe for our family. As we started to move into our new home, I slowly realized that we needed to start as soon as possible to get this fence installation started. Luckily, we had neighbors who had a reliable company that did fence installation in Brea, CA. We knew we wanted a wood fence and they had many options for us to choose from! After checking out their gallery, we ended up going with an original picket fence. It didn’t take long for the fence to be built and before we knew it we had completed our dream home.

Bursting Pipes

It’s been cold outside, and unfortunately we didn’t take the proper precautions inside – our pipes froze and burst. This isn’t the way we wanted to start our Monday morning. Luckily, after researching a few companies we found one that offers plumbing in Reston, VA. They were able to come out that Monday morning and begin working on the issue. Lesson learned – keep the house temp at 68 degrees, or over, at all times!

Fire in the Chimney

Last week a family a few blocks over had an unfortunate incident in their home, they had a chimney fire. Luckily, everyone got out of the home safely, but the damage to their home was awful.  We found out the fire was due to a dirty chimney, if only they had their chimney cleaned this could have been prevented. We looked up chimney sweeps in Pasadena, CA and found a company that was able to come out that week. Our chimney is now clean and we can relax knowing our family is safe.

Winter Time... Plumbing Issue Time

I live in an old house, and every winter our plumbing starts to get finicky. The bathtub and sink faucets start to leak! It stars with a couple of drops, and before you know it, it’s a full stream of water coming out. Needless to say, it’s already gotten cold here in Plainfield IN and thus our plumbing has already started to have an issue. The plumber in Plainfield IN came out to take a look at everything (like they do every year), and the leaking stopped. Here’s hoping it lasts the rest of the season!
