Tips to Reduce Discomfort

I recently accepted a promotion at work, which I’m thrilled about, but unfortunately my new job involves a lot more desk-work. In my previous position, I spent most of my time working in the field, so spending hours sitting at my desk is quite a change! I started to notice pains in my neck and back, and decided to consult a local Severn MD chiropractor to get some helpful tips for preventing discomfort while working at a desk, which are as follows:
  • Elevate your computer screen to avoid straining your neck.
  • Select the right chair - it be firm enough to provide support, but also comfortable.
  • Avoid slouching.
And don’t forget to take frequent stretch breaks throughout the day! These tips have been great for me, so I hope they help you too.
