Home Renovation

I had been planning a home renovation for a few years now. I saved up, met with designers and really tried to make my money last. I had decided that I wanted a roof that had Spanish tile. It was definitely one of the more interesting options and I wanted to stand out a little bit. I had a pretty hard time trying to find roofers in Washington DC  that would install Spanish tile and ensure its warranty. But finally now that my home renovation is finished, I’m ecstatic. The Spanish tile gave my home a little bit of a pop setting it apart from the other homes on the block.

Southern Summers

Living in Mechanicsville VA, we have the pleasure and privilege of experiencing all four seasons. When I was younger, I loved autumn. The leaves the jump into were the best part of any season and the most fun! However, no one tells you that when you own a home and get older, while your children are jumping in leaves… you’re cleaning out the gutters. After our eighth year of living in my home and getting the ladder out to clean the leaves out of my gutters in Mechanicsville VA, I said ‘enough is enough.’ I needed to find someone who could install gutter-guards. Originally, when I lived in a one-floor ranch, it was easy enough to get up there and clean the gutters. It was still a pain and not something I looked forward to each fall, but it was manageable. When I moved into a two-story home, I couldn’t find a ladder I felt safe enough on to clean out the gutters! Thankfully, since I got these gutter guards installed I haven’t had to get up there!

Moving Back In With The Parents...

I moved back in with my parents a few years after college in hopes of saving up to purchase a place of my own.  Well that day has finally come! I’ve hired a great team of Montgomery County MD moving experts and am ecstatic to finally have a place of my own! I’ve purchased what my Dad likes to call, “a great starter house”, complete with 3 bedrooms and 2 and a half baths! I have my own master suite which comes with a Jacuzzi style tub and stand up shower! I’m so excited to have a place where I can start the next leg of my adventures. 

Moving Disaster

I just heard from a job I wanted in Chicago and I needed to be out there within two-weeks to start my new job. Unfortunately that left me with a ton of things to pack and little time. I called a  moving company in Waymouth MA to help me pack the things I didn’t know how. I had no idea that I was even packing my valuables incorrectly and I know that without them, my things wouldn’t have made it to the Windy City unscathed!

After I had video surveillance services installed in Bolingbrook IL I was able to see what happened at my office after hours. For the first few weeks, the employees didn’t realize that they were going to be on their own kind of candid camera, but after catching them doing things that even a soap-opera wouldn’t air, things started to settle down. I even thought about shutting the cameras down once I knew that they weren’t stealing or doing anything ridiculously out of the ordinary. However, for some reason I kept it going. Thankfully I did so! One week later, I saw that someone was trying to break into my office and steal out of my office!

Train Her PLEASE

Moving within Fairfax County ended up being a lot easier than I thought it would be. Moving in Fairfax VA was the smoothest move I've ever had. We hired movers and they even helped us out with additional packing which was out of the ordinary. Everything went smoother than we would have thought. Originally we thought that moving was going to be a pain because we have so many fragile items. However, as soon as we marked our breakables and told the movers about it they told us not to worry that they know how to take care of the packages and they will make sure that nothing happens to them. The peace of mind was enough!

Pool Paradise

I needed a fence contractor in Norwood NJ as we just installed a pool in our spacious backyard. Most of our neighbors have pools and/or some sort of backyard landscaping or hardscaping. Because of that we wanted to add on to the fences that are adjacent to our property and match a similar style to that of our neighbors to allow for cohesion within the neighborhood. It was extremely easy to just call and get a basic estimate on a fence installation and type. Now we have a backyard just as beautiful as our neighbors!
