Break In

I just opened up a new convenient store in Chicago after moving here from Seattle. I never needed video surveillance at my old store in Washington because I lived above it and knew that the locks were the same ones I used on my home! Two days after the installation, these children broke into my store and vandalized the entire place! Holiday Season!

It’s holiday season! Family, food and holiday parties are what it’s all about. And how could I forget, it gets a bit chillier even out here in Los Angeles, California. I don’t know about you, but my house is the house to get together with family and friends. Our family has a lot of kids in it, so during these holidays they love to see our fireplace going, even if they’re not cold! My husband and I have been living in our house for about 20 years.  A few months ago we both agreed it was time for a new fence! Recently, I had a pressure cleaning company come take a look at my house. It was dingy, moldy, and looked like I was living in a haunted house. Thinking About Fences

Know one thing that’s never been on my mind until recently? Fences. Yup. Fences. I was recently driving through a neighborhood in Warsaw IN and each home had their own type of fence. Now at first I thought it was pretty anti-social, but then I realized that these fences really added something to the homes. They added character! When I arrived home I started thinking about getting a fence for our front yard – and now I wish I had one! I’m going to start researching fences in Warsaw IN more to see if I can find the right solution for our home in Warsaw.

Reminiscing on the Past

I recently ran into my best friend from 11th grade. I haven't seen her in over 15 years, actually since high school, but meeting up again was as if we never skipped a beat. We reminisced over all the boys we were crushing on, and all of the terrible decisions we made.  As a mother of 2 daughters under 5 I was both excited and terrified for the experience of them in High School. Until it hit me, 15 years ago video surveillance in Chicago, IL wasn't a common occurrence in households. It was one of those things you saw on TV but never really had. That is until more recently basically every security system out there has a surveillance option. I hope my girls grow up with a best friend like mine, but boy am I grateful to be able to keep a watching eye even when they might not know it.
